Private Farmhouse

Located in the ancient, rolling outskirts of Amman, Jordan, this residence reinterprets the farmhouse archetype through a lens of lithic restraint. Rather than the vertical density typical of the city’s limestone hills, this “Farmhouse” adopts a radical horizontal sprawl, acting as a grounded, single-story plinth. A bold, white-plastered monolithic frame defines the structure, creating a deep, shaded portal that evolves the traditional Liwan into a contemporary, high-precision portico.

The façade dissolves into floor-to-ceiling glass, establishing an entirely permeable boundary between the domestic core and the Jordanian landscape. The foreground is anchored by a vast swimming pool—a modern-day reflecting well—set against the historic silhouette of mature palms. Inside, specific geometric pendants and brass accents provide a refined, “Conscious Creator” glow. It is a breathable monolith, a quiet, architectural echo that honors Amman’s spatial memory while embracing the fluidity of contemporary living
