Connectivity

In the urban landscape of the Dubai Design District, “Connectivity” stands as a refined architectural lens through which regional heritage is whispered. The installation utilizes a curated material palette of recycled ropes, meticulously tensioned to bridge the gap between a circular overhead structure and a geometric base-plinth.

The form plays a central role in defining the space; by day, natural light illuminates the vibrant cords, casting complex geometric shadows that evolve with the sun’s path. By night, integrated lighting transforms the piece into a glowing prism of regional resonance. The mirrored base functions as more than a surface—it creates an “imagined mirage,” symbolizing the continuous flow of energy and the fluid identity of the region. By layering artisanal textures with modern functionality, the design offers a sensory experience that feels both deeply rooted in tradition and effortlessly global.
